His quiet voice

breanna-lynn:

“God, that’s crazy.”

She had heard His voice and knew it well, there was no doubt. He had asked her do something simple, but that she did not understand at all. Sitting the her car, in the parking lot of a 7/11 gas station, she was only hesitating now because of the anticipation of embarrassment.

Do a headstand by the pop machine inside.

She got out of the car, went inside. After pretending to browse the snacks casually, she noticed no one was around except the cashier. He didn’t seem to be paying attention.

Okay, just do it quick then leave, she thought to herself.

She stood by the pop machine, put her hands on the floor, and kicked her feet over her head.

Seconds later, her legs swiftly carried her directly to the doors to exit.

“Excuse me-“

The cashier. Oh my.

She turned timidly toward him. “Yes?”

“Did you just do a handstand by the pop machine over there?”

“Yes…” Her cheeks began to redden, hot as fire.

He looked shocked. More than she expected. Maybe in awe, too.

“I just told God that if he was real, someone would come in today and do a handstand by the pop machine,” he told her.

This was a true story I heard in chapel last September. That 7/11 gas station cashier now believes in God!

What is the main point of this testimony? When God speaks to you to do something, and you don’t understand, or it seems crazy or embarrassing, will you let that stop you?

Prayer may bring us to do things we never thought possible. We must put our faith and trust in God and His purposes. He wants to do great things. He wants to make Himself known.
